I have a background in the arts (my bachelor’s degree is in sculpture), and this has helped to shape my style as a therapist. I love incorporating new and atypical therapy tasks to keep my sessions interesting as well as functional.
I create a supportive and safe space to help folks work towards their goals, using evidence-based assessments and interventions. Whether you are seeking my help to help your child with picky eating and speech development, or recovery from a stroke or brain injury, I will work to help you meet your goals and give you the resources and education you need.
I use a coaching model for therapy, and work to make goals for intervention functional, fun, and relevant to every day life. I also am consistently mindful of the emotional impact many diagnoses can have on a person and their family. I help to give my patients and their families a sense of agency and control in their care, which decreases feelings of hopelessness in the face of great challenges.
